After a short break back home for Christmas, it was back on the road again. This time going back down under to Adelaide, Australia, in preparation for the big event of my year; the ILCA World Championships 2024.
From numbering up sails at 5am whilst jet lagged on day one, to laminating carbon onto my tiller in the build up to the practice event, it was a fruitful training block in the lead up to the worlds.

The worlds was quite a mixed bag. Some good results mixed up with some shockers had me yo-yoing up and down the leaderboard, but in the end I finished a respectable 18th overall out of near 200 competitors.
18th is a solid result but naturally I would prefer much more. The positive is that this year is I saw some big changes in my sailing, especially in my speed off the wind, which gives me a lot of confidence that I'm moving forwards on the right path.
