Heading back from Australia, it was time to take a little break from training and switch off for a couple of weeks to do some different activities.

I rigged up the WASZP for the first time in three months and set about remembering how to foil. Next took a small trip up to Farmoor Reservoir with the WASZP mid-February to compete at the Oxford Blue, a Sailjuice winter series event. It was a good experiment with the WASZP handicap, which I think maybe needs revising a little bit more before we can race competitively against everyone else.

Farmoor was also one of the first events I went to when I started sailing back in 2010, so it was great to be back and race against Rob Howlett, one of my original coaches from back in the day. Fair to say we have changed a bit since then.

Heading back to Weymouth I got back on the water doing some surfing with Jack.

A few cold WASZP sessions!

And finished off the mini-break with the Dinghy Show in Farnborough.

Next up: Back in the ILCA in Palma for some training and the build up to Princess Sofia Regatta.
